Every screen a user meets, in order, for each flow — Vid Gen AI and HubX “AI Video”, including HubX’s paywall. Arrow labels show who moves the flow forward: the user or the app.

Both captures muted, looping. Left: HubX “AI Video”, a fresh first-run capture (08-24 afternoon). Right: our Superwall onboarding running in the app (08-24).

Vid Gen AI — Superwall flow (live, on-device)
3 slides + paywall$4.99 intro → $14.99/wk~9s to paywall
Captured running in a real build 08-24 PM (screens below are from that recording — this supersedes the editor-screenshot version). The paywall now carries a 7-day $4.99 intro offer, and tapping “Start Offer” fires a real StoreKit purchase. Advance mechanism (tap vs auto) unconfirmed — observed dwells were ~2s per slide.
1 · The promise“OWN THE DANCE HALL” — grill-dad UGC video, playing.

2 · Ease“Snap or Upload a Selfie” — crowd woman turns & smiles.

3 · The reveal“Ready to Share!” — selfie transforms into a fantasy elf with a light beam. The flow’s best moment.

Deep dive — HubX first-run vs our planned flow
Same skeleton, four deltas that matter
Updated with ground truth: the “ours” column now uses frames from a real on-device run (08-24 PM). Both pushes measure as clean ~0.5s ease-outs at full frame rate — mechanically the flow is smooth, videos never stall. The HubX column is network-verified. The stages:
HubX
Ours (live)
Stage 1 · The promise — effectively identical
Same headline, same sub-copy, same one-button layout. Only the casting differs: HubX rotates everyday-person subjects per deck (here a mom in her kitchen; their ads use the grill dad our hook clones). Nothing meaningful to change here.
HubX
Ours (live)
Stage 2 · The ease claim — copy identical, media tells a different story
Both say “Snap or Upload a Selfie — adults, babies, even your pets!”. HubX’s media is the copy: a dancing dog, proving “even your pets” the second you read it. Our slide (confirmed live) shows a woman in a stadium crowd turning to smile — pleasant, but it illustrates neither selfies nor breadth, and the sub-copy wraps to a three-line with a one-word orphan (“your pets!”). Their three slides form a ladder (adult → pet → kid = “anyone”); ours are three unrelated moods.
HubX
Ours (live)
Stage 3 · The payoff — ours has a real reveal, but in the wrong genre
Same copy. Live, our slide 3 is genuinely strong: the selfie transforms on screen into a fantasy elf under a beam of light — a real before/after reveal, the emotional peak of the flow (our tester dwelt ~5s here, longest of any slide). The catch: it’s a transformation result under a dance promise — headline, sub-copy and paywall all sell “dancing star”, and no one dances. HubX closes the dance deck with a dancing toddler. Keep the reveal mechanic, swap the payoff to a dance result.
HubX
Ours (live)
Stage 4 · The paywall — now a true twin, plus one real bug
Live, our paywall matches HubX’s construction beat for beat: drifting video collage (playing), same four benefit icons, badge + plan card + big intro price, instant X, full disclosure. Pricing is now 7-day OFFER: $4.99 intro → $14.99/wk — the earlier “3× the ask” delta is resolved. Two remaining differences: their badge says 3-DAY where ours says 7-day (shorter fuse, same $4.99), and their CTA reads “Continue ›” where ours reads “Start Offer ›” — theirs hides the commitment in a neutral word.
The bug: the onboarding’s purple “Continue” button stays on screen through the entire paywall, sitting lower-left below the legal links — two purple CTAs at once (“Start Offer ›” and “Continue”), visible for the paywall’s whole life in the capture. Ambiguous and paywall-undermining (does Continue skip the offer?). It should hide on the paywall page.
1 · Fix the double CTAThe orphan “Continue” over the paywall is the one objective defect — two competing purple buttons at the money moment.
2 · Match reveal to promiseThe slide-3 transformation is the flow’s best beat — but it’s an elf under a dance headline. A dance result keeps the magic and the story straight. Slide 2’s crowd shot has the same mismatch.
3 · One flow vs a systemUnchanged: theirs is 1 of 15 ad-matched decks with 19 pricing arms; ours is one deck, one price, for all traffic.
4 · Smoothness: parityMeasured at full frame rate: both pushes are clean ~0.5s ease-outs, media never stalls, X and loading states behave. No animation work needed.
